Lake Geneva magician Nino Cruzillini will be performing this month for the Wisconsin governor.
Cruzillini, who regularly performs hypnosis, mind reading and sleight-of-hand at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, was invited to mesmerize guests of Gov. Scott Walker’s upcoming Christmas party.
Scott and his wife, First Lady Tonette Walker, caught a Saturday evening show by Cruzillini at Grand Geneva.
“It was pretty wild,” said Cruzillini. “While setting up, my assistant said there’s an eager group wanting front row seating before show time.
“Then, within seconds, men entered the room — Secret Service bodyguards — telling me who the group was.”
After searching the room as a security precaution, the men instructed Cruzillini not to call the Walkers or their staff up to participate in the show.
“So I kept it incognito,” Cruzillini said.
He added that, after the show, they took photos and asked if he was available to perform.
The party is being held in a secret location near Milwaukee, said Cruzillini.
Although the public cannot attend the party, he said people could witness the same show the Walkers saw at Grand Geneva, 7036 Grand Geneva Way, Lake Geneva.
Dubbed “The Harry Houdini of Lake Geneva” and “The World’s Fastest Hypnotist,” Cruzillini performs feats of magic with Dean Martin-style comedy, in a cabaret setting.
His show begins at 8 p.m. every Saturday.
