The Abbey Resort, one of the most recognized resorts in the Midwest, announced today the completion of its meeting and convention room renovations; the latest in a 12-month, multi-project and strategic initiative, which included extensive changes to the Geneva Lakes Meeting Rooms, resort hallways and lobby.

“We are thrilled to showcase our wonderfully refreshed resort to our guests,” said Dan Dolan, Director of Sales & Marketing at The Abbey Resort, “Because of the location of our resort – being the only property located with direct access to Geneva Lake – we want to provide an environment for our guests and groups to experience what the lake brings: bright and fresh with a touch of serenity.”

Michael Lucero, General Manager of the Abbey Resort, hired Milwaukee-based design and architecture group, Kahler Slater. The design firms goal? To capture the history and legacy of The Abbey Resort, and create a unified look by mixing casual and sophisticated materials that exemplifies the freshness of the lakes that will be inviting to a wide range of guests.

The renovations began in April 2018 with the installation of new roofs on all buildings, including Avani Spa, followed by a complete 5700 sq. ft. redesign of the eight Geneva Lake Meeting Rooms, where new carpet, lighting fixtures, paint scheme, window treatments, wood finishes, Wi-Fi and technology upgrades have been made.
